The “Simplified News”- Podcast

As professionals at the threshold of the industry, it is important for us to understand the industry we plan to enter and the various happenings in the country and world that it. We need to be in touch with the news. However, try as we may, in spite of innumerable suggestions from our professors, reading the news is a habit that only few of us have developed. As students of MBA REUI, it is very important for us to be aware of the market, it’s dynamics and the various factors that affect it. But there is o collaborative way of reading a paper without a discussion, and inevitably, that doesn’t happen. The idea behind creating a podcast was to facilitate being in touch with the news even without reading it.

Inevitably, the listener might be interested in one topic that he happened to hear about, and he will look it up and seek it out. This helps to spread information and develops the habit of being aware. In addition to this, it encourages us- as collaborators on the podcast to read more news, keep tabs on information relevant to the sector, and hone our interests. It also helps us in understanding how to simplify news. Someone once told me that, ‘you know you’ve understood something when you can explain it to a six-year-old.’ Although this isn’t that elemental, the essence is the same, break it down, make it easy but keep it informative.

“Simplified News” is the podcast channel for the Built Environment related news and updates. It is our endeavor to break it down, keep it simple and stay relevant to the context of things that could, would and should affect the Built Environment Sector.

It is a daily podcast, except on Sundays. We have a weekly feature on a special or relevant topic in relation to the Built Environment; and, we are developing it as we go.

We are available on Spotify, Anchor, Breaker, Pocket casts and Radio public.

We believe this will help with understanding jargon and terminologies frequently used in our sector and industry. It will also apprise our business knowledge and acumen.
