I'm an Architect and an MBA Construction Project Management Graduate from the first batch of RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, Mumbai (2017-19). After graduating from architecture, I wanted to enlighten my technical knowledge aligning my architectural background and that's how I came across Construction Project Management in RICS SBE and decided to join the course.
The MBA program at RICS SBE facilitated me to understand many aspects of the Built Environment sector by the industry lead specialists who had a precise idea of the construction industry and the market. The faculties (technical & communication staff) strengthened our technical and managerial skills throughout the two years of span and mentored us in planning and achieving our goals.
The SLING Committee frequently arranged an interaction with the industry specialists and the students which helped us to boost our learnings and gain knowledge. There were a lot of mental and physical activities planned to develop and encourage our ideas and thought processes.
The placement team groomed us in such a way that we started to analyze our capabilities in diverse job roles matching our skillsets which facilitated me to get placed as a Project Coordinator at DSA Architects International, Dubai. While working at DSA, I realised that the project management subjects I learned were majorly implemented at my work and that's when I recognised that RICS made me Industry ready for my Construction Journey ahead. The degree is globally recognised and valued, as many of our Clients and Consultants are qualified with MRICS and FRICS. Lastly, I would like to say, joining RICS School of Built Environment was one of my best decisions I made, as this helped me to grow and grab the opportunities to develop professionally.
